To Pet Parents,
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about PawChart!
Whether you joined us in our first weeks in Philadelphia, uploaded a stack of records for a pet you love, or told a friend about us at one of our events, you are the reason PawChart is where it is today. I wanted to write to you directly to share where PawChart came from and what we are working toward.
I started PawChart because I received a 55-page medical record for my cat, Ash, that I couldn't understand. Most of the pages had only five or six words on them, and there was no standard format across the many systems that veterinary clinics use today. I quickly realized that I did not have a clear grasp of my senior cat Molly's full medical history either. That became even clearer when my wife and I had to sift through multiple records to confirm which medication she was allergic to, because it was not clearly shown anywhere in front of us.
As I worked to solve this problem, I realized that if I could not make sense of my own cats' history, other pet parents were facing the same struggle, and so were the veterinarians who are expected to care for our pets with the information we give them. So I built PawChart to fix this, and to bring more clarity to our pets' health.
Today, PawChart is becoming your Personal Pet Assistant. It keeps your pet's records, care needs, and next steps organized in one place, so you always know where things stand. You can upload records and have them read and organized for you, ask questions about what is in your pet's records, keep track of vaccines and medications, and send a vet packet to a new clinic, groomer, or boarder whenever they need it.
PawChart is ready when you need it, whether that is an emergency at night, a move to a new city, or a first visit with a new veterinarian. We are working toward helping you see what is coming up before it is due, preparing you for each new stage of your pet's life, and making it simple for everyone who cares for your pet, from your veterinarian to your groomer to your sitter, to stay on the same page, always on your terms.
PawChart is here to support you and your veterinarian. It does not replace your vet, emergency care, or medical advice. Our goal is to help you feel organized and prepared, so you can walk into every appointment with your pet's history ready to share.
So much of what PawChart has become is thanks to the people who use it and the partners who have supported us along the way. Your reviews, your questions, and the conversations we have had at events keep shaping what we build next, and I am grateful for every one of them. If you have an idea or something is not working the way you expect, I would love to hear from you.
Thank you for trusting PawChart to be your Personal Pet Assistant. I am excited to keep building it with you, one step at a time.
Fur-ever grateful,

Andy Yim
